Our Productions
Type 40 Pictures, LLC, is currently producing several short features that will be edited into a montage film similar to "Creepshow" and "The Twilight Zone Movie." These productions include:
A 20-minute short feature based on the stories of Father Michael, a Catholic priest turned vampire in the Macon, GA, parish. "Forgive me, Father for I have sinned. I administered Last Rites to a dead man, then tore him limb from limb." Not for the squeamish.
A 20-minute feature film, The Mourner, about a high school senior learning the depths of his power as he attempts to save the girl he loves from the rape that alters the lives of six people. Even less for the squeamish.
A 15-minute feature, Revelations, which asks the question, "What if the Messiah came back today?" The answer, in our world, is obvious- we lock him up with the other loonies and wait for him to be well again, while upping the doses of anti-psychotics. Not so in the world of Type 40. We let the MEssiah have his say in a small church in rural Georgia. A feel good transition into a more fun story.
A 20-minute folk tale written as a school assignment with Howard's students, The Ugly Man became far more than it was intended to be. Harold the Woodsman is so ugly, he is invisible to the world. And he likes it that way, typically, until he meets Guinevere, the daughter of one of the men in the village. Harold falls in love and sends his words into the winds on the wings of the birds who are his friends. It is only when he is visited by the Lady of Feathers that he realizes he may have made a mistake. This one will make you smile.
In addition to these shorts, Type 40 is engaged in obtaining the permissions needed to film The Adventures of O.P.I.E., the feature-length story of a group of ghost hunters in the Macon, GA, area who discover that not everything can be explained away as bugs and dust and a car outside.
As O.P.I.E. is produced, careful attention will be paid to the fact that it is the introductory story to a 23-episode television series involving the same characters.
Oh, yes. We have a lot going on! If you are interested in joining us and making these dreams far more real, apply using the contact pages. We are looking for all levels of production personnel.
